Funeral Here Saturday For Mrs. Josephine Collins

   Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ here saturday afternoon for Mrs. Josephine Collins, 97, who died in a Pawhuska hospital lat Wednesday morning.  Mrs. Collins, a resident of this area since 1925, died of pneumonia following an illness of about 10 days.
   Born at Ft. Worth, Texas, May 7, 1867, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Lamb, she moved with her parents to Missouri, and was married to Sherman Collins in 1888.  Nine of the 16 children born to the couple survive, including : Arthur Collins, of Pershing; Eli and Everett Collins, of Barnsdall; and Emory, of Missouri; and five daughters: Sylvia Toon, Alsuma, Okla; Hazel Ryan and Goldie Hodson, of Barnsdall; Ruthie Goad, Pawhuska; and Myrtle Garmley of Seattle, Washington, and 56 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
   Rev. Downum delivered the funeral message and a men's quartet from Bartlesville sang " God Will Take Care Of You", "Silently" and "Beautiful Isle." Six of her grandchildren were pall bearers, with burial in the Ethel Reese Cemetery under the direction of the Barnsdall Funeral Home.
