John Frederick Siegrist

    John Frederick Siegrist of Mountain View, was born May 7, 1912, in Clear Springs, Mo., the third child of Rudolf and Lena Sheer Siegrist. He died July 23, 2003, at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs at the age of 91 years, two months and 16 days.
    He married Ethel Lucretia Webb Dec. 26, 1933, in Phoenix, Ariz. To this union, six children were born. Fred and Ethel moved to Missouri in December 1942. Fred bought a farm and farmed until the early 1970s.
    He was very active in the community, being honored for 25 years of service in the ASCS as chairman and community committeeman. Fred and his family had the honor of representing Howell County at Farmer�s Day at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia one year. He was a member of Hutton Valley Baptist Church.
    Survivors include his children and their spouses, Freda Mae and Conaway Parons of Warsaw, Lucille and Harvey Hackett of Willow Springs, Allen and Ingeborg Siegrist of Webster Groves, Clifford and Glenda Siegrist of Bristow, Okla., Kenneth and Paula Siegrist of Delavan, Ill., and Leon Siegrist of Milton, Iowa; one brother, Earl, of Canton, Texas; four sisters-in-law, Helen of Adel, Iowa, Bertha and Mary of Willow Springs and Bernice of Miami, Okla.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel; four brothers, Rudolph, Werner, Alfred and Richard; two sisters, Marie and Verena and his father and mother.
    Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 2003, at the First Baptist Church in Willow Springs. Burial was in Willow Springs City Cemetery with Willow Funeral Home in charge.
