John Eslie Turnbull, son of the late Walter M. and Dora Docia Davis Turnbull, was born May 2, 1914 in Douglas County, Missouri and departed this life January 21, 1974 at his hom in Vanzant, Missouri at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 19 days.
He was united in marriage April 22, 1940 at West Plains, Missouri to Lorene Wake.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lorene Turnbull, Vanzant, Missouri; three sons, Wayne Turnbull, Springdale, Arkansas, Elvon and Ralph Turnbull, Vanzant, Missouri; two brother, Norman Turnbull, Mtn. Grove, Missouri and Clovis Turnbull, Emmits, Idaho; and 8 grandchildren. His parents, one sister, Lola, and one grandson preceded him in death.
He was a retired bulldozer operator and was a former member of Independent Order of Oddfellows.
