He was united in marriage to Cora M. Collins on March 18, 1916, at West Plains, Missouri. Tho this union nine children were born.
He is survived by his wife Cora of the home; two daughters, Magdelene Surritte, West Plains, Missouri and Virginia Asher, Pheonix, Arizona; six sons, Edward Collins, George Collins and Amos Collins all of West Plains, Missouri, Harold Collins Hermosa Beach, California, Boyd Collins, Hereford, Texas and Neal Collins, Harrison, Arkansas; two sisters Mrs. Phoebe Ross and Mrs. Alice Nokes both of West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Everett Collins, Gibert, Arizona and Emmett Collins, West Plains, Missouri; 32 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, his parents, two sisters and two brothers.
He was a member of the Davis Creek Congregational Methodist Church.
