JOHN E. CLARK.  Former seaton Man Dies of Heart Attack.

     Relatives and friends here were shocked to hear of the sudden death of John E. Clark, Sr., of Ford, Kansas, Thursday morning.  Death was caused by heart trouble.  Following is the obituary taken from a Ford, Kansas paper:
     "John Ellison Clark was born at Seaton, Illinois, June 6, 1864, and died at St. Louis, November 3, 1927 at the age of 63 years and 5 months.
He was married to Anna L. Ditto at Seaton and they made their home there until they moved to Ford in February, 1902, and settled on a farm, south of town, where they lived until they moved to town a few years ago.
     Mr. and Mrs. Clark were the parents of three children, Nina Clark Smith, who preceded her father in death three years ago; Vern A. Clark of Los Angeles and John S. Clark of Ford.  Besides his faithful and devoted wife Clark are left.
     Mr. Clark was a man of genial disposition and kindly nature.  He was a good neighbor and good citizen and will be missed not only by his family but by his many friends.  he had been at St. Louis on business which he had completed and was ready to return hom when he was taken ill with heart trouble.  A physician and nurse were summoned but he only lived a few hours.
     The funeral was held at the Congregational church, Sunday afternoon and was in charge of the pastors Mr. and Mrs. Mayos, and interment was made in the Ford cemetery.
     Among out of town friends attending the funeral were: Mac Ditto, a cousin of Mrs. Clark, and his wife from Newton; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Lohner of Pratt; Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Hendrickson of Larned; Mrs. Dorothy Harp of Mullinville and many old friends and neighbors from Dodge City."
Mr. Clark was ver well known in Seaton, where he made his home for so many years.  He was a brother-in-law of James Saunders of Seaton.

Anna Ditto Clark. Former Seaton Woman Passes Away at Hutchinson Hospital.

     Anna L. Ditto was born to SAmuel and Margaret Seaton Ditto at Seaton, Ill., at the Ditto homestead, February 9, 1864 and died September 10, 1933 at the age of 68 years, 5 months and 27 days.  She was married to John Clark and to this union were born three children, Nina Clark Smith who preceded her in death; Vern of Los Angeles, and John who was present at her death.  She was also preceded in death by her husband who died November 3, 1937.  The following granchildren are left to mourn her death: Mrs. Beryl Smith Lohner, Phillip Smith, Anna May, Ronald and Samuel Clark.  Two brothers Duncan Ditto of Maryville, Mo., and George Ditto of Portland, Oregon mourn her death and the following sisters and brothers preceded her in death:  Mrs. Elizabeth Willits, Mrs. Isabel Saunders and Robert A. Ditto.
     Mrs. Clark was a woman of genial disposition and kindly nature.  She was a good neighbor, good citizen, and will be missed not only by her family but her host of friends.
     The funeral was held at the Congregational church at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at Ford, Kansas.
