Jessie Faye Collins

   Jessie Faye Collins, daughter of William and Cora Savage Cody, was born December 21, 1905 at Mountain Home, Arkansas and departed this life at her home near Mountain Grove, Missouri, May 9, 1971 at the age of 65 years, 4 months and 18 days.
   She was married April 23, 1920 at Mountain Grove, Mo., to Nevins Joe Collins.  To this union 12 children were born, one of whom died at the age of three a daughter Nolene.  The Collins family had lived in the Mountain Grove vicinity since 1941.
   Survivors are her husband, N. J. Collins, eight sons: Roy of Springfield, Mo., Bob of Whittier, Calif., Jack of Brea, Calif., Dean of Kansas City, Mo., Charles and Jim of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Freddie and Larry of Kahokia, Ill., three daughters; June Hopkins of Wichita, Kansas, Corrine Sanders of Sunny Side, Washington, and Betty Rutter of Mtn. Grove.  One brother Carl Cody of Mtn. Home, Arkansas; four sisters: Eula Buckhana, Mtn. Home, Ark., Elsie Peace, Eurika, Kansas; Blanche Case, Eden, Idaho and Argie Dunbar of Tulsa, Okla.; 23 grandchildren other relatives and many friends.
   Funeral services were held at 2 pm, Wednesday, May 12, 1971 in the Craig-Hurtt-Hutsell Chapel with Rev. Ronnie Turner officiating.  Mr. Edwin Francis and Mrs. Buck Franklin san "Green Green Grass of Home" and "Shall We Gather at the River."  Rev. and Mrs. Ronnie Turner san "In The Garden." Mrs. Charles Franklin played the organ.  Pallbearers were Jim Yocum, Johnny Calhoun, Larry Hopkins, J. C. Freeman and Fred Hawkins.  Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery.
