STRAFFORD � Mr. Jerry D. Smith, Strafford, a truck driver, died at 8:15 p.m. Sunday near Hartville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Blue Buck Full Gospel Church in Douglas County, with burial in Cabool Cemetery under direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home, Cabool.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.

Jerry D. Smith
Jerry Dean Smith, son of the late Nolan and Vivian Smith was born January 11, 1950 st West Plains, MO. He departed this life April 1, 2001, at the age of 51, 2 months and 20 days.
Jerry was united in marriage to Margaret Preston in 1969. To this union one son was born. Jerry was employed by American Freightway at the time of death. He had been a truck driver for many years and also had been a diesel mechanic. Jerry was a long time member of the Masonic Lodge of Houston, TX. Jerry came to know the Lord in 1994 in Houston, MO., and in fact was lead to the Lord by his brother, Eddie Wayne. Jerry enjoyed going to the lake for boating, camping and especially jet skiing.
Jerry leaves to mourn his passing, one son, Robert Nolan of West Plains., MO; two step daughters; Susie Smith and Connie Walters of Mtn. Grove, MO, 7 brothers, 2 sisters and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and brother Freddie.
