Howard Collins services held

  Funeral services for Howard Collins, 69, Seymour, and formerly of this area, were 10 a.m. today, Friday, March 16, 2001, in Day Funeral Home, Marshfield, with the Revs. Joe Crews and Jack Day officiating.
  Mr. Collins died Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at his home.  he was born April 28, 1931, in Howell County, the son of Arthur L. and Roxie Ann Collins.
  On June 24, 1955, he was married to Evalee Clift.
  Mr. Collins was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean Conflict.  He attended Prospect Methodist Church.
  Survivors include his wife, Evalee Collins, of the family home; one sone, Ray D. Collins and wife, Debbie, Seymour; one daughter, Kim Tyson and husband, Donnie, Seymour; six grandchildren, Jenna Collins, Jeremy Collins, Garrett Morgan, Jayme Collins; Jaie Dee Tyson and Hunter Tyson; one brother, Harold Collins, Marshfield; four sisters, Gladys Landtrip, Arlington, Texas, Fern Ledbetter and husband, Marion, Pomona, Josephine White and husband, Bill, El Dorado, Kan., and Wilma Cloud and husband, Ollie, Mtn. View; and many other relatives and friends.
  He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Opal Gilbert and Freda Clough.
  Burial with military honors was in Prospect Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Day Funeral Home.
