| Hobart G Collins Services Today Funeral services for Hobart Garrett Collins, 78, Willow Springs, Mo, were held today at 2 pm in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. Ira Johnson officiating. Mr Collins died Friday at 1:15 pm in West Plains Memorial Hospital. He was born at Roosevelt, Mo, Nov. 1, 1896, the son of the late Thornton and Frances Clark Collins. He had spent his entire life in this area where he was engaged in farming. On Aug. 28, 1919, he was married in Douglas county to Alice Amanda White. Mr Collins was instrumental in the organization of the Twin Bridges Saddle Club which is still an active organization in that community. Preceding him in death are his parents, five daughters, one son, three brothers, and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amanda Collins of the home; four children, Mrs Eva Gilbert, Winfred Collins, both of West Plains; Wilfred Collins, Mtn. Grove, Mo.; Junior Collins, Hermann, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; four brothers and sister, Silas Collins, West Plains, Miller Collins, Mrs Addie Murrell, Mrs Nora Collins, all of Willow Springs; and a foster son, Oda Collins, state of Kansas. Interment was in the family plot in Inman Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains. |
