Herman Collins services Tuesday

  Graveside services for Herman Collins, 74, Willow Springs, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Howell Memorial Park Cemetery, witht he Rev. Raymond Laramore officiating under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains.
  Mr. Collins died 3:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999, at Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs.  He was born Oct. 27, 1924, at Sterling, the son of Lewis and Eva Collins.
  On Oct. 3, 1945, Mr. Collins was married to Lillian Johnson.  On July 23, 1976, he was married to Ora Haddock.
  Before his retirement, Mr. Collins was employed as a special foreman witht he Mo. State Highway Department for more than 25 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting and like to share his garden produce with his friends.
  He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Willow Springs.
  Survivors include his wife, Ora Collins, of the family home; one daughter, Deanna Corn, Columbia; three stepchildren, Jack Whited and wife, Margie, Willow Springs, Charles Haddock and Wife, Donna, Cabool, and Orb May and wife, Wilam, West Plains; one grandson, Russell Allan Corn, Columbia; four brothers, Ross Collins and wife, Kathy, Shenandoah, Iowa, Tom Collins, West Plains, Hubert Collins and wife, Lucille, Clearwater, Kan., and Carl Collins and wife, Arlene, Merced, Calif.; one sister, Betty Lou Dobbs and husband, Dewayne, Shenandoah, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews.
  He was preceded in death by his parents, one stepson, three brothers and three sisters.
  The body will lie in state from 5 p.m. today until 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Family visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today.
