Henry Roper Jr. services Sunday

   Funeral services for Henry Roper Jr., 61, West Plains, will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2001, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains, with the Rev. Ival Tooley officiating.
   Mr. roper died 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2001, at his home.  He was born Dec. 23, 1939, in Douglas County, the son of Henry and Retta Arvella White Roper.
   On Nov. 30, 1961, he was married at Willow Springs to Rita Collins.
   He had been employed with the street department in the city of West Plains.  Mr. Roper loved bluegrass music and spending time with his grandkids.
   Survivors include his wife, Rita Roper, of the family home; two sons, Donnie Roper, West Plains and Maylon Roper,  Springfield; one daughter, Regina Brawley and husband, Wayne, West Plains; one grandson, Justin Brawley; one granddaughter, Renee Roper; one stepgranddaaughter, Brand Russell and husband, Chuck; one stepgreat-grand son, Brandon Russell; one stepgreat-granddaughter, Courtney Russell; two brothers, Earl Dean Roper and wife, Chris, Platte City, and Charles Roper and wife, Carol, Willow Springs; nine sisters, Jean Bunch and husband, Troy, Wilder, Idaho, Mary Lou Turner and husband, Don, Cauldwell, Idaho, Lucille Cunningham, and Verla Honeyfield, and husband, Marvin, all of Willow Springs, Thelma Tooley and husband, Wayne, Nina Lorning and husband, Ed "Junior," and Phyllis Franks and husband, Ron, all of West Plains, Eula Parson and husband, Leroy, Gower, and Joyce Smith, Mtn. View; and many nieces and nephews.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Edgel Roper and Joe Roper, and two who died as infants.
   Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
