  Harley Harvey Haddock, son of the late C. M. and Julia Bunch Haddock, was born in Douglas County, Missouri, May 31, 1916.  Entered into eternal rest April 10, 1975, at the age of fifty-eight years.
  Mr. Haddock had spent his entire life in Douglas and Howell Counties, where he was engaged in farming and stock raising.
  On June 16, 1937, he was married in Douglas County, Missouri, to Ora Cunningham, who survives him, as do four children, who are Marjorie Whited, Willow Springs, Missouri, Paul Haddock, Willow Springs, Missouri, Wilma May, West Plains, Missouri, and Charles Haddock, Cabool, Missouri.  There are six grandchildren surviving, as do seven brothers and sisters, who are Hazel Hicks, Harold Haddock, Grace Lovan, all of West Plains, Missouri, Junior Haddock, Thelma Duddridge and Onieda Counts, all of Willow Springs, Missouri, and Homer Haddock, Dinuba, California.
  Mr. Haddock had served as a Director of the Round Top School District in Douglas County for a number of years.

Hazel Hicks services Saturday

  Funeral services for Hazel Hicks, 90, West Plains, will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2002, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains, with the Rev. Terry Lunyou officiating.
  Mrs. Hicks died 9:12 p.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2002, in Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains.  She was born July 7, 1912, at Roosevelt, the daughter of Columbus M. and Julia Bunch Haddock.
  On March 1, 1933, she was married in Douglas County to Norman Feral Hicks, who preceded her in death July 24, 1990.
  Before her retirement, Mrs. Hicks had been employed in the dietary department of the West Plains R-7 schools and at West Plains Memorial Hospital.
  She was a member of Faith Chapel Freewill Baptist Church of West Plains.
  Survivors include two children, Lorene Case and husband, Clyde, Pensacola, Fla., and Norman Leon Hicks, West Plains; five grandchildren, Dan Case, Shelle Seely, Doyle Case, John Hicks and Joseph Hicks;  11 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Junior M. Haddock and wife, Jean, Willow Springs; two sister, Oneida Counts and husband, Cecil, West Plains, and Velma Duddridge and husband, Leonard, Willow Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Harold, Harley and Homer Haddock; and one sister Grace Lovan.
  Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.

Onieda H. Counts

  Onieda H. Counts, 78, of West Plains, Mo. died at 11:27 p.m., Friday, June 6, 2003, in Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains.
   She was born April 26, 1925, in Douglas County, Mo., the daughter of the late Columbus Marshall and Julia Bunch Haddock.
   On March 10, 1945, she was married at West Plains, Mo. to Cecil R. Counts.
   Before her retirement, Mrs. Counts had been employed at Rawlings.  She loved quilting and enjoyed her flowers.  Mrs. Counts was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
   She is survived by her husband, Cecil R. Counts, of the family home; two children, Pat Cruise, Marshfield, Mo. and Raymond Counts and wife, Nancy, Powell, Wyo.; a son-in-law, Jerry Cruise; two grandchildren, Julie Deckard and husband, Danny, Rogersville, Mo. and Jeff Cruise and wife, Tracy, Havana, Ill.; three great-grandchildren, Haley Hines, Lindsey Deckard and Kelly Cruise; one brother, Junior Haddock and wife, Jean, Willow Spring, Mo.; one sister, Velma Duddridge, Willow Springs, Mo.;  numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
   Mrs. Counts is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Harley, Harold and Homer and two sisters, Hazel Hicks and Grace Lovan.
   She was of the Baptist faith with her membership in the Calvary General Baptist Church.
   Funeral services for Onieda H. Counts were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2003, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home with interment in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
