Gladys Collins rites Thursday

   Funeral services for Gladys H. Collins, 72, West Plains, will be at 1 pm Thursday in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
   Mrs. Collins died at 12:50 pm at her home.  She was born March 31, 1914, in Illinois, the daughter of the late Talmadge Curtis and Minnie Schwisow Adams.
   She graduated from high school in Arkansas and attended Southwest Mo. State Teacher�s College in Springfield where she received hr teacher�s certificate and taught for several years in the rural schools of Howell County.
   On June 14, 1940, she was married at West Plains to Marvin V. Collins, Sr.  She had been of the Christian faith with her membership being in the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in West Plains for 40 years.
   Survivors include her husband, Marvin V. Collins, Sr., West Plains, and Janet Collins Mueller, St. Charles; five grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, Arlene Weir, Richland, Dorothy Hayes, Ewing, N.J., Melvin Adams, Los Angeles, Calif., Elmer Adams, West Plains, and Harold Adams, Brownfield, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews.
   She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother who died in infancy.

Gladys Collins services held

   Funeral services for Gladys H. Collins, West Plains, were at 1 pm Thursday in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with Dr. David W. Hicks officiating.
   Mrs. Collins died June 2 at her home.
   Pallbearers were: John Hayes III, Frank Martin III, Colin Collins, Ron Adams, Jerry Collins and Jeff Collins.
   Persons attending from out of the area included Bill and Ginya Moore, Liberty; Dorothy Hayes, John Hayes III, Ewing, N.J.; Sharon Adams Mezel, Sparta; Al and Doris Mueller, Ferguson; Michael and Janet Mueller and children, Brett and Stacy, St. Charles; Michelle Collins, Kansas City; Bob Hinds, Edna E. Hinds, Willow Springs; and John and Eleanora Cowgill, Pottersville.
   Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
