| West Plains Daily Quill Feb. 5, 2001 Gathel Scott servies Tuesday Funeral services for Gathel Pearl Scott, 86, West Plains, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains, with the Revs. Clarence Burton, Gene Worley and Greg Worley officiating. Mrs. Scott died 7:20 a.m. Friday, Feb 2, 2001, at her home. she was born May 14, 1914, the daughter of Samuel A. and Bessie Pearl Crick Gabbert. She attended school at Moody, graduating from Moody High School. On Feb. 2, 1932, she was married to William "Bill" Taft Collins, who preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1960, and from this marriage she had three wonderful daughters, Ruby May, Marjorie Pearl and Catherine Jane. On Sept. (?) 10, 1962, she was married at West Plains to Troy Cecil Scott, who preceded her in death May 25, 1995. Mrs. Scott was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, West Plains Chapter No. 193, and was a charter memeber of the Bakersfield Chapter No. 36, having served at Worthy Matron many times and served as District Deputy of the 53rd District. She was a former member of the White Shrine. Survivors include three daughters, Ruby Lovelace and husband, Donald, Rogerville, and Marjorie Lovelace and husband Jerry, and Cathy Earls, all of West Plains; her stepson, Bob Scott and wife, Martha, Harrisonville; nine grandchildren, Bill Lovelace and wife, Brenda, Willow Springs, Kenneth lovelace and wife, Janet, JoAnn Vessey and husband, Chuck, and C.J. Lovelace, all of Rogersville, Debbie Phillips and husband, Clay, Fair Grove, Randall Lovelace and wife, Kim, Melbourne, Ark., and Leedawn Shipley and husband, Jeff, Treba Neushwander and husband, Joe, and Tafton Earls and wife, Shanna, all of West Plains; 12 great-grandchildren, Brent and Wife Julie, Marty, Josh, Alisha, Ashton, Dillon Dausen, Braxton, Braitton, Alex, Dustin and Clint; two great-great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joel; five sisters-in-law, Hazel Mae Plumlee, Ann Horn, Effie Harris, Lady Spears and Nadine Collins; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; and one son-in-law, Dillon Earls; and one great-grandson, Doston Neushwander. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. |
