Everett Collins funeral Wednesday

  Funeral services for everett Thurman Collins, 62, Salem, Ark., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1987, in the McGee-Estes Chapel, Salem, Ark. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery.
  Mr. Collins died Monday, Dec. 28, 1987, in West Plains Health Care Center.  He was born Feb. 12, 1925, in Shapr County, Ark., the son of Andy and Lizzie Collins.
  On Nov. 30, 1966, he was married to Odelsa M. Collins, who preceded him in death Jan. 29, 1985.  Mr. Collins retired from the U.S. Army in 1963 after serving 23 years.  He served in World War II and the Korean conflict ans was awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.  He had worked on pipeline construction throughout the United States after his retirement.
  Survivors include three stepsons, Clarence A. "Butch" Shelton III, Birmingham, Ala., Phillip F. Shelton, St. Louis, and Allen Shelton, Lebanon, Tnn.; and seven brothers and sisters, Jack Collins, Augusta, Ga., Zettie Storms and Dorothy Lewallen, West Plains; Dolla Collins, Revenden Springs, Ark., Virgie Morris, Black Rock, Ark., Lena Pennington, Elizabethtown, Ky., and Opal Banks, Paoli, Ind.
  He is preceded in death by his parents and four brothers and sisters, Evie Kollings, Aline Slyvester, Audrey Collins and Cleo Collins.
