| West Plains Daily Quill Dec. 29, 1999 Everett Johnson services Thursday Funeral services for Everett Johnson, 83, West Plains, will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains, with Brother Joe Bean officiating. Mr. Johnson died 7:31 p.m. Monday, Dec. 27, 1999, in Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains. He was born March 1, 1916, in Douglas County, the son of Granvil and Ida Clinton Johnson. He was married to Mary Effie Hoggatt, who preceded in him in death Jan. 18, 1971. Mr. Johnson was of the Pentecostal faith. Survivors include eight children, Rick Johnson and wife, Barbara, David Johnson and wife, Mary, Harold Johnson, James Johnson, and Patricia Rousey and husband, Melvin, all of Springfield, Joe Johnson, Cameron, Bonnie Rowlett and husband, Paul, West Plains, and Rebecca Porter, Nashville, Ark.; 28 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; one brother, Willis Johnson and wife Mildred, West Plains; and several neices and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; four sons, Robert Johnson, Everett Johnson, Jr., Donald Johnson and Lonnie Johnson, who died in infancy; one daughter, Marilyn Young; two grandchildren; five brothers, Elmy Johnson, Richard Johnson, Gale Johnson, Fremont Johnson and Elvin Johnson; and three sisters, Evie Johnson, Florence Richardson and Mamie Hublitz. The body will lie in state 4 p.m. today until service time at the funeral home. Visitation will be 7 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. |
