| From the West Plains Daily Quill, Monday, February 19, 1996 Funeral services for Emery Clyde Lung, 92, West Plains, will be at 3:30 pm, Tuesday, Feb 20, 1996, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson-Drago Funeral Home of West Plains. Mr Lung died at 9:15 pm Saturday, Feb 17, 1996, at his home. He was born June 22, 1903, at West Plains, the son of Charley and Lucinda Johnson Lung. He received his education at the Greenwood School, and on Feb 27, 1939, was married at Cull to Adah Jane King, who preceded him in death April 20, 1989. Mr Lung had been a road grader operator for more than 50 years and had worked for the city of West Plains before his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Second Baptist Church of West Plains. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Ward and husband, Kenneth, Koshkonong; six grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; six great grandchildren; one step great granddaughter; one brother, Alvin Lung and wife, Ethel, Eaton Rapids, Mich; one sister, Lona Sharp, West Plains; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Jerry Lung; two brothers; and two sisters. Mr Lung will lie in state at the funeral home from 11 am today until service time. Burial will be in Oak Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. |
