Funeral services for Ella W. Collins, 92, Willow Springs and formerly of West Plains will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001, in the Rose Chapel of the Robertson Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. Glenn Murray and the Rev. Clarence Burton officiating.
Mrs. Collins died 12:45 p.m. Wednesday Oct 3, 2001, in Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs. She was born Feb. 19, 1909, at Cordz, the daughter of James Franklin and Malinda Belle Johnson Collins.
On June 9, 1926, she was married in West Plains to William "Bill" Collins, who preceded her in death March 16, 1985.
She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include five children, Eldon Collins and wife, Hazel, Gene Collins and wife, Grace, Deloris Brotherton and husband, Norman, and Rita Roper, all of West Plains, and Clifford Collins, Willow Springs, a daughter-in-law, Betty Jo Collins, Rogersville; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Melvin Collins, four grandsons; one granddaughter; one son-in-law; 12 brother; and eight sisters.
Mrs. Collins will lie in state from 11 a.m., Friday Oct. 5, until service time at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the funeral home.
