Elijah Collins Rites Tuesday

Funeral services for Elijah Collins, 77, a resident of the West Plains Health Care Center, will be at 2 pm Tuesday in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. C.H. Fisher officiating.

Mr. Collins died Friday. He was born Aug. 10, 1908, the son of he late Henry Gib and Delsina Eldora Paine Collins.

He received his education in the Lanton School, and on March 20, 1945, he was married at Salem, Ark., to Ada Pearl Veach, who preceded him in death Jan. 11, 1975. Mr. Collins had been of the Baptist faith with his membership being in the Powell Baptist Church at Poplar Bluff for many years.

Survivors include nine stepchildren; and many step grandchildren, step great-grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Louzetta Shelton and Ethel Pringle both of West Plains; two sisters-in-law, Lujana Collins, Tipton, Iowa, and Kissie Marie Collins, West Plains; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two brothers and one sister.

Burial will be in Homeland Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains
