E J Wake, son of Essie Edith Collins Wake and the late Lewis Daniel Wake, was born August 16, 1941 in Douglas County, Missouri. Entered into eternal rest  August 16, 1984 at the age of forty-three years.
He received his education in the Bridges and Turner Schools and on August 16, 1960 was married at Willow Springs, Missouri to Sherlie Ann Collins.
Mr Wake had been a farmer and had been employed at Southwest Mobile Systems in West Plains, Missouri.
He is survived by his wife, Sherlie Wake, of the family home; five children, Cindy Bean and Richard Wake, both of West Plains, Missouri, Regina Wake, Kelly Wake, and Shelly Wake, all of the family home; three grandchildren, Jeremy Bean, Matthew Bean, and Kyle Bean, all of West Plains, Missouri; his mother, Essie Wake, West Plains, Missouri; two brothers, Glen Wake and Eddie Wake, both of West Plains, Missouri; six sisters, Vetris Bruffett, Tempe, Arizona, Neva McCrackin, Smithville, Missouri, Lavon Pliler, Joplin, Missouri, Virginia Stickland, Edna Lou Storms and Marilyn Howell, all of West Plains, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews and cousins.
Mr Wake is preceded in death by his father and two infant sisters.
He had been of the Baptist faith.
