Eathel Hale services held

   Funeral services for Eathel Zora Hale, 87, Vanzant, were 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3, 2000, at Westside Family Life Center, Willow Springs, with the Revs. David Lovan and Scott Williamson officiating under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home of Cabool.
   Mrs. Hale died Thursday, Dec. 30, 1999, at Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs.  She was born June 25, 1912, in the Big Springs community near Twin Bridges, the daughter of Harmon and Luemert Collins Clinton.
   Mrs. Hale attended school in the area, and on July 27, 1932, was married to Byron Monroe Hale.
   A lifetime resident of the area, Mrs. Hale was of the Baptist faith and had taught a Sunday school class for many years.
   She was a well-known and loved lady, and never hesitated to help others when the need arose.
   Survivors include her husband, Byron Hale, Vanzant; three sons, Chalmer R. Hale, Nyssa, Ore., Alvin Hale, St. Louis, and Glen Hale, Vanzant; one daughter, Katie Imogene Worley, Willow Springs; one brother, Virgil Clinton, Modesto, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives, friends and neighbors.
   She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant son, Edwin Gale Hale; six brothers, Richard, George, Grover, John, Roosevelt and Ergel Clinton; and three sisters, Eller, Credie and Mergie.
   Burial was in Dry Creek Cemetery under the direction of Elliott-Gentry Funeral Home
