| West Plains Daily Quill Monday, Evening, April 7, 1975 Earl Pentecost Services Held Funeral services for Earl Pentecost, a former West Plains resident, were held Mar. 13, in St. Johns Funeral Home in Portland, Oregan. Mr. Pentecost was born Dec. 2, 1914, the son of the late John and Metilda Parker Pentecost who were pioneer residents of Howell County. He was married at West Plains in 1938 to Ruby Mae Pearson who preceded him in death in 1943. Survivors include two brothers, Richard Pentecost, Portland, Ore.; Russell Pentecost, Leavenworth, Kansas; a sister, Maida Inskeep of Longmont, Color., who went to Portland for the services; a niece, Mrs. Anna Lou Ryan of near West Plains and several cousins. Preceding him in death are his parents, his wife, and two sisters. Interment was in Willamette National Cemetery. West Plains Daily Quill March 6, 1978 Funeral services for Norman Charles Pentecost, 60, Koshkonong, will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Union Hill Church witht he Rev. Robert Wilson officiating. Mr. Pentecost died Friday at 6:45 p.m. at his home. He was born March 15, 1917, in Fulton County, Ark., the son fo the late J.E.S. and Laura Breedlove Pentecost. He was married Nov. 7, 1937 at Ft. Worth, Texas, to Oval L. Reese. He attended church at Union Hill and was a retired farmer and livestock dealer. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Oval L Pentecost, Koshkonong; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Adams, Oslo, Norway; Mrs. Marilyn Wilson, Koshkonong; two brothers, D.A. (Arch) Pentecost, West Eli Pentecost, Swedeborg, Mo.; five sisters, Mrs. Villa Whitsell, West Plains; Mrs Georgia Barnett, Koshkonong; Mrs. Richie McRoberts, Milton Freewater, Ore.; Mrs. Ann Fetherston, Walla Walla, Wash.; Mrs. Ina Smith, Tacoma, Wash.; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His parents, one brother, Clarence, three sisters, Oma West, Alma Verbick and Ida York, preceded him in eath. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery. |
