Doyne Collins funeral Saturday
Funeral services for Doyne Wayne Collins, 49, West Plains, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 27, 1989, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. Stasey Sheppard officiating.
Mr. Collins died at 3:45 a.m. today, Thursday, May 25, 1989, in Ozarks Medical Center. He was born March 23, 1940, at Dora, the son of Ermon Glen Collinsa nd Irene Freeman Collins.
He received his education in the schools of Dora, and on April 24, 1959, he was married at Dora to Veta Faye Elliott. Mr. Collins was of the Baptist faith with his membership in the Bethany Baptist Church for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Veta Collins, of the home; two daughter, Elaine Carter and husband, Maylon, and Kimberly Woodworth and husband, John, all of West Plains; two grandchildren; his father, Ermon Collins, West Plains; two brothers, Donald and Glen D. Collins, both of West Plains; two sisters, Ruby Thompson, West Plains, and Lena Howard, Dora; his paternal grandfather, Emery Collins, Ava; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, one son, Murphy Wayne Colins, and one brother.
Burial will be in Vanzant Cemetery.
