Doshie Ann Morris died January 3, 1997 at Willow Care
Nursing Home, Willow Springs, MO; she was 87.  Born
December 10, 1909 in the Flatrock Community near Willow
Springs to Haywood and Emmaline Collins, she married
Russell Morris on August 8, 1929 in Douglas County, MO.
  She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant
daughter, her husband of 82 years, three brothers,
Louis, Fred and Dewey, three sisters, Hazel, Wilda and
Sina, a half-sister, Iva "Peggy', and two infant
grandchildren.
  She is survived by her three children, Chalmer and
Gail Morris, Salem, MO, Reva and Dutch Loring, Willow
Springs and Patricia and Marvin Gregory, Ash Grove, MO;
on sister, Vinnie Scott, Summersville, OR; two half
sisters Imagine Johnson and Ermalea Tooley; two
half-brothers Glen Collins and Thurman Collins, all of
Willow Springs; her grandchildren, Danny Loring, Willow
Springs, Mike Loring, Miami, OK, Douglas Gregory,
Dallas, GA Eddie Morris, Salem, MO, Julie Gregory, Ash
Grove, MO, LeAnne Carlisle, Verona, MO, and Debbie Cook,
Rolla, MO; three great-grandsons; three great
granddaughters; several nieces and nephews and many
other relatives and friends.
  Doshie gave her heart to the Lord at an early age
and was a member of the Little Zion Missionary Baptist
Church, where she served as a clerk and Sunday School
teacher for many years.  Doshie and Russell lived most
of their lives in the Twin Bridges area; they moved to
Willow Springs when they retired.
  Funeral services were held January 6, 1997 at the
Hiler Chapel; Ival Tooley, Gary Conner and Troy Burney
officiated.  Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery
under the direction of Hiler Funeral Home.
