Dorothy Driskell dies May 23

Dorothy Emaline Driskell, 81, Savannah, Mo., died May 23, 2003, at La Verna Village, Savannah.
She was born Jan, 30, 1922, in West Plains the daughter of Calvin and Annie Johnson Thompson.
She attended rural West Plains schools and helped care for the elderly in their homes.
On June 3, 1942, she was married at West Plains to Willie Driskell.
The couple mae their homein West Plains where Mr. Driskell worked in the sawmill and lumber yards, and where they reared their five children. In 1961, the family moved to Tarkio, and Mr. Driskell farmed in the Tarkio area. Due to ill health, Mrs. Driskell becme  resident of Northview Manor in Tarkio in 1991. In 2001, the moved to Savannah to be closer to their daughter, and Mrs. Driskell became a resident of La Verna Village care center.
Mrs. Driskell atteneded Pentecostal churches in West Plains.
Survivors include her husand, Willie Driskell, Savannah; three sons, Bill Driskell and wife, Elaine, Rock Port, Dean Driskell and wife, Marcdia, Farragut, Iowa, and Roy Driskell and wife, Catherine, Maryville; two daughters, Ruth Graham and husband Dick, Savannah, and Dasie Richt and husband, Mike, Omaha, Neb.; 19 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Louvina Poe, Lamar, Colo.; many nieces and nephews; and many other relatives in the West Plains area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Fonnie, Lawrence, Lonzo and Alfred; and a half-sister, Lougina.
