Donald Collins rites Wednesday

  Funeral services for Donald Newman Collins, 72, West Plains, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, 1989, in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funral Home, West Plains, with Evangelist Arvil Hill officiating.
  Mr. Collins died at 1 a.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 1989, at his home.  He was born March 14, 1917, at Dora, the son of James Ephram and Doskie Louisa Moffis Collins.
  He received his education in the Ball School at Dora, and on Feb. 27, 1939, he was married at Gainesville to Clarice Vernez Boswell.  From 1936 to 1939 he was a member of the CCC Camp at Willow Springs, having been a part of building the Noblett Lake dam.  Mr. Collins had been a driver for Midwest Dairy for nine years.  In 1978 he retired after have been employed for 25 years as a truck driver for Empire Gas.  He was a Christian and had attended the Central Church of West Plains for several yars.
  Survivors include his wife, Clarice Collins, of the home; three sons, Loren Collinsa nd wfie, Vernetta, West Plains, Jimmie Collins and wfie, Alice, Buckner, and John R. Collins, North Kansas City; 11 grandchildren; one sister, Pearl Luna and husband, Eldon, Dora; and several nieces and nephews.
  Preceding him in death are his parents, one daughter, Judith Joan, one grandson, two brothers and five sisters.
  Burial will be in Elijah Cemetery.
