Donald Gene Collins, 56, of West Plains, Missouri died Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains, Mo.
Donald was born June 6, 1943 at Pontiac, Missouri to Lloyd and Ola Fay Taber Collins. He was formerly employed in the timber industry.
Survivors include one son, Donald Gene Collins of DeSoto, Texas; one daughter, Sandra Michelle Lewis of Franklin, IL; his mother, Ola Fay Collins of Mountain View, Mo; four brothers, Elza Collins, Bill Collins, Gerald Collins, all of Mt Sterling, IL, Elmer Collins of Mountain View, Mo; four sisters, Shirley Kemper of Clayton, IL, Anna Goudschaal of Columbia, Mo, Sharon Hillyer of Mt Sterling, IL, and Judy Phelps of Canton, Georgia; two grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father and one brother.
Funeral services were held at 1 pm Friday, December 3, 1999 at Yarber Mortuary, Mountain View, Missouri with Pastor Gary Lewis officiating. Interment was held in Forest Dell Cemetery in Mountain View under the direction of Yarber Mortuary.
