DOLL, Harry Lee - 1901 - 1993

Harry Lee Doll was born August 25, 1901 south of Urich in Henry County, the son of Jacob L. and Leona (Walsh) Doll. He passed away April 10, 1993 at his home, Route 2, Urich, at the age of 91. Harry was one of eight children. He attended school at Butler and Lucas. He was baptized at Cove Creek Baptist Church and later moved his membership to Lucas Methodist Church. Harry was married to Mabel C. Dennis on December 24, 1922, and to this union seven children were born. He was a farmer all of his life. In addition to farming he frequently worked as a carpenter. Harry loved to fish and work in his garden. Later in life, he took pleasure in having time to enjoy all of his family, especially the little ones. Harry is survived by two sons, Derrold L. Doll and Dennis L. Doll, both of Urich; three daughters, Margie Hopper, Kansas City, Betty Jean Jones, Independence, and Karen K. Kerrick, Pensacola, Fl.; one brother, Arlie Doll, Urich; two sisters, Tillie Cordell, Clinton, and Mary Urick, Kansas City; twenty-seven grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; also a host of other relatives survive. He was preceded in death by his wife Mabel, December 1, 1983; two daughters, Maxine Limbaugh and Mary Jane Empson; one brother, Clarence Doll; three sisters, Jeanette Stewart, Leona Homan and Pearl Moree. Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 1993 at Lucas Methodist Church, with Rev. Jan Schnepf officiating. Music was When the Roll is Called Up Yonder, I Thought He Walked On Water, Daddy's Hands, Lucile Long, pianist. Pallbearers were George Allen Limbaugh, Mike Costigan, David K. Doll, Phillip K. Hooper, Kenneth Jones, Kevin Empson. Honorary pallbearers were Douglas Hooper, Craig Alan Doll, Mark Limbaugh, Scott Empson. Burial was in Mullin Cemetery, Henry County, under direction of Consalus Funeral Home, Urich.
DOLL, Mabel Colene DENNIS - 1901 - 1983

Mabel Colene Doll 81, of route 2, Urich, Missouri died Thursday at Golden Valley Hospilal. She was a lifelong Urich area resident. Mrs. Doll was a member of the Lucas United Methodist and Minngo Extension Club of Urich. She is survived by her husband, Henry L. Doll of the home; two sons Derrold and Dennis Doll, both of Urich. Five daughters; Mrs. Maxine Limbaugh and Mrs. Marge Hooper of Kansas City, Missouri. Mrs. Beey Jones and Mrs. Mary Jane Empson of Independence, Missouri and Karen Kerrich, Pensacolla, Fla.; three brothers, Carl and Jay Dennis of Urich and Bob Dennis of Urich; three sisters Lottie Schwenck, Nevada, Mrs. Dorothea Mecking, El Paso, Texas and Mrs. Lela Holston, San Diego. Also 27 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Lucas Methodist Church with the Rev. Cheryl Barnard officiating. Burial will be in Mullin Cemetery under the directionif Ward Funeral Home at Urich. Friends may call Friday at the Funeral Home. The Family suggests Memorial contribritions go to the American Cancer Society.
