SAD ACCIDENT.  Three Year Old Son of C.G. Ditto Fatally Injured by Fall.

Floyd Leroy, little son of mr. and Mrs. C.G. Ditto, died Thursday evening from injuries received by a fall. He was playing aobut some machinery, Monday when he fell and struck his head against a bolt.  He was able to get to the house and a physician was called to dress the injury.  He appeared to be getting along nicely and was able to be around until Wednesday when he was taken with a high fever.  Thursday an operation was deemed necessary and Dr. T. J. Maxwell of Keokuk, Iowa, and Dr. R.C. Ditto, of Oakville, Iowa, were called with Dr. Hainline.
It was found that the skull was fractrued but blood poison had set in. He was beyond medical aid and died at two o'clock, Friday morning. Funeral services were held Sunday from the presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. C.M. Robb, and interment made in the Candor Cemetery.  This was indeed a sad accident and the beraved parents have the sympathy of the entire community.

G.M. DITTO. Former resident of Community Dies in Joliet Wednesday.

Funeral services for G.M. Ditto, 79, were held at Joliet, Thursday.  Mr. Ditto passed away at his home in that city Wednesday morning.  He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. L.N. Ditto of Henderson county and was reared in this community and is remembered by older residents.
He had resided in Joliet for many years. He Leaves two brothers and four sister, Court Ditto of Hinsdale and Dr. Boyd Ditto of Burlington, Ia., Mrs. Clarensce Rowley of Seaton, Miss Kathryn Ditto and Mrs. Loren Murphy of Monmouth and Mrs. Grace Kellogg of Quincy.

Services Sunday.  Ashes of Mr. and Mrs. George Ditto to be Buried Sunday.

Brief funeral services will be held at the Candor cemetery, Sunday afternoon for Mr. and Mrs. George Ditto, whose ashes will be buried. Mrs. Ditto died January 18, 1934 at Portland, Ore., and Mr. Ditto died June 16, 1937, there.  Both bodies were creamated adn their ashes were sent to E.B. Hood, caretaker of Candor cemetery, to be held until further notice.
A daughter Mrs. Laura Miller of Topeka, Kan., will come to Seaton Saturday night for the services.  Another daughter Mrs. Dora Crisinger of Windield, Ia., will probably attend the services.  There are also a son Jay and a daughter Pearl.
Mr. Ditto was the son of Samuel and Margaret Seaton Ditto.  His family lived in this community.

COMMITMENT RITES IN FAMILY LOT

Brief commitment services of the ashes of George Ditto and his wife Jennie Ditto were held in Candor cemetery at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon with Rev. Carl Sandberg officiating at the services.
Mrs. Ditto died at Portland, Ore., January 18, 1934 adn Mr. Ditto, June 16, 1937.  The bodies were cremated and the ashes sent to Seaton for burial in the family lot in Candor cemetery.
Two daughters, Mrs. Laura Miller of Topeka, Kan., and Mrs. Dora Chrissinger of Winfield, Ia., and three of Mrs. Chrissinger's daughters Jennie, Mildred and Eva Chrissinger attended the service.  A daughter and son Mrs. Pearl Sparr and Jay Ditto of Portland Ore., were not present.
The services were attended by a number of nephews, nieces and cousins in this vicinity and relatives from Monmouth, Keithsburg and Aledo.  Among the latter were Miss Kate Ditto, Mrs. Loren Murphy and Mrs. W.H. Moore of Monmouth, Mr. and Mrs. R.A. Newell, Mrs. Capitola Shike and son Lester Shike of Keithsburg and Mr. and Mrs. L.C. McIntire of Aledo.

GEORGE M. DITTO.  Former Seaton Resident Dies at His Home in Kansas.

George McClellan (Mack Ditto), aged 72, passed away at his home in Highland county, near Newton, Kan., at 1o'clock a.m. Sunday, March 7, following an illness of many months.  He fell from a horse Jan. 23, 1936 and fractured a hip and since then had been in frail health.  He had been confined to his bed since October.  Mr. Ditto had been a farmer in Highland township for maore than a quarter of a century.  He had a happy jovial disposition which made him many friends.  He was born on a farm near Seaton, Aug. 19, 1864, the youngest child of John Wyland and Elizabeth Redman Ditto.  He was married Jan. 1, 1905 to Julia Ann Glenn, who survives him.  There were no children.
he also leaves two brothers, Andrew M. of Rozet, Wyo., and Sam D. Ditto of Gillette, Wyo.: a sister Mrs. Margaret E. Shuart of Newton, Kan., and a step-sister Mrs. Kate Dalrymple of Seaton, whom he regarded as a sister.  he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Funeral services were held in the Walton M.E. church at 3:30 o'clock p.m. Wednesday, march 10, with Rev. David Zook officiating.  The large attendance of friends and many beautiful floral pieces were evidence of the esteem of many.

Older members of this community will remember Mr. Ditto, his sister and brothers.

LAST RITES HELD FOR GEORGE T. DITTO, 46.  Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24 for George T. Ditto, 46.  Rev. John Keller, pastor of the Keithsburg Methodist church, officiated at the services in the Stubeinger funeral home.  Burial was in Greenmound cemetery.
Mr. Ditto died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound near 1o'clock Sunday at the home of his mother, Mrs. Tamma Ditto in Keithsburg.
He had been afflicted with ill health for several years but had been able to continue manufacture of the Ditto duck and crow calls, and do other work.  His death was a shock to his relatives and friends.
Born Sept. 19, 1906 on the Ditto farm in Henderson county, the son of Charles H. and Tamma Shawley Ditto, he was reared on the farm and moved to Keithsburg with his parents 25 years ago.  He graduated from the Keithsburg high school in 1926.  He farmed for a number of years.
Survivors included his mother; two brothers, Richard of Robinson and Charles of Seaton; and four sisters, Ethel and Marthat at home, Mary of Chicago and Mrs. Lucy Juncheon of Sherrard, and an aunt, Miss Sue Shawley, who resided in the Ditto home.
