Died, at his home in Bradford, Arkansas, December 9, 1903, D. J. Estes, aged 47 years, 11 months, and14 days.
He came to Howell county with his parents at three years of age, where he made his home until about three years ago. He was married to Bethire J. Tabor July 28, 1878. This union was blessed with eight children, all of whom survive him. Seven were at his bedside when death came. The eldest son, a marine soldier on the U. S. F. Wisconsin, could not be present. Two sisters still survive him.
When quite young he was converted and joined the Baptist church. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Whitla, and he was laid to rest in the Bradfrod cemetery December 10th.
