Daniel Collins Dies Sunday Evening at Home

77 year old retired farmer was lifelong Howell County resident

Daniel Martin Collins, 77, a retired farmer and resident of this county his entire life, died Sunday evening at 6:10 at his home on Siloam Springs route after a critical illness of five days due to pnuemonia and typhoid fever. He had been in poor health for the last five months.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete but will be in charge of Robertsons.
He was born in Howell County Dec. 16, 1874, the son of the late Mr and Mrs William Collins. He was married in 1900 to Belle Johnson and in 1933 to Ada Collins, who survives him.
Surviving are the wife, Ada, three daughters, Minnie Stubbs, Siloam Springs; Mary Ellen VonAllmen, Rover; Pearl Lawing, Rockford, Ill; two sons, Perry Collins, Caldwell, Idaho; John W Collins of the family home; 28 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a brother, Ben Collins, of Siloam Springs and one sister, Jane Jones, Mammoth Springs, Ark. Two sons and one daughter are deceased.
