Charles Martin services Saturday

   Funeral services for Charles Wilson Martin, 79, Willow Springs, will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2001, at First Baptist Church, with Ramon Laramore officiating under the direction of Willow Funeral Home of Willow Springs.
   Mr. Martin died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001, at Willow Care Nursing Home, Willow Springs.  He was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Willow Springs, the son of Charles Edward and Iona Crowley Martin.
   On April 3, 1948, he was married at Willow Springs to Opal Tessie Davis, and to this union one child was born.
   Mr. Martin was owner/operator of a sawmill early in his career.  He was later employed by Fred Weber Construction Company in St. Louis as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement after 36 years of service.
   He was a deacon at the First Baptist Church in Willow Springs.
   Survivors include his wife, Tessie Martin, of the family home; one son, Charles Leroy Martin and wife, Pamela Yvonne, Grapevine, Texas; one sister, Ruby Hubblitz, Pacific; two grandchildren, Caitlin Paige Martin and Jonathan Willis Martin, both of Grapevine; and many other relatives and friends.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Floyd Henry martin; and one sister, Hattie Ruth Smith.
  Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Willow Funeral Home.
