Charles Calvin Hopkins

   Charles Calvin Hopkins, 92, of West Plains, Mo., died at 3:52 a.m., Saturday, March 8, 2003, in Ozarks Medical Center, West Plains.
   Hopkins was born Oct. 28, 1910, at Grimmitt, Mo., to Flossye Elizabeth Collins.
   He worked for the telephone company and helped organize the telephone company union.  After his retirement, Hopkins was employed at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home and drove for the local car dealers.
   Hopkins is survived by his wife, Flossye Hopkins, of the family home; two children, Connie Conyers, West Plains, Mo., and Charles Leon Hopkins and wife, Patsy, of Florissant, Mo., three grandchildren, Crystal Henderson, Randall Hopkins and Diana Kessler; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Alma Brown of Willow Springs, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
   He is preceded in death by his parents, one granddaughter, Kimberly Gibson, three brothers and four sisters.
   Hopkins was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Plains.
   Funeral services for Charles Hopkins were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2003, at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Wright officiating with interment in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
