Carolyn Fay Vincent Murr, 56, youngest daughter of eight children of Jake Vincent and Dorthy Collins Vincent, was born April 22, 1945, at Campbell. She died Feb. 8, 2002, at her home at Houston after a 17-month battle with cancer.
She married Lewis "Butch" Murr Aug. 2, 1968, in St. Louis. They had two children.
Mrs. Murr was a manager at Venture's in St. Louis. After moving to Houston, she worked for Riverways Home Health of West Plains. For the last 11 years, she was a CNA and unit secretary at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
She was a member of Souls Harbor Family Worship.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Connie and Vivian Stewart; and one brother, Debo.
Surviving are her husband of the home; one daughter, Connie Sawyer; one son, Vincent Murr; four brothers, Clinton, Chet, Carl and Bob Vincent; and four grandchildren.
Services were Feb. 11 at Souls Harbor Family Worship with the Rev. Elton Harris and the Rev. Cordie Wimberley officiating. Burial was in the Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
