His funeral services were held November 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the Duncan Funeral home Chapel. Burial was in the Summersville City Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Monday for Bert Pitts, 91. Bert passed
away in California. He grew up here and was postmaster for many years at Hartshorn. His wife Jessie, passed away in 1980. Our sympathy is extended to the family.
