Benford Collins� Services Are Held
Funeral services for Benford Collins, Rt. 1, Dora, were held yesterday afternoon in Big Springs Church with the Rev. Mildred Frost of Mtn. Grove officiating.
Mr. Collins died Friday morning in the Texas County Memorial Hospital at Houston.
He was born Nov. 29, 1894 in Siloam springs to Benjamin and Salley Jones Collins.
In 1934 he was married in Douglas County to Ocie Margaret Collins, who survives, as do : Two sons, Wendill Collins and Earl Collins of the home; and two daughters, Mrs. Faye Turnbull of Emmet, Idaho, and Mrs. Bernice Freeman of Chicago, Ill.
Pallbearers were Bert Teeple, Lee Woodward, Noah Cearley, Everett Cearley, Herman Midkiff and James Hopkins.
Interment was in Thornton Cemetery under the direction of Carter Funeral Home of West Plains.
