  Funeral services for Alta E. Newland, 8, a former resident of Willow Springs passed away Sunday, December 27, 1987.  Funeral services were held in the Green Hills Mausoleum Chapel in Sapulpa, Oklahoma on Wednesday, December 30th at 2:00 p.m.  Interment was in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
  She was preceded in death by her father: Charley Beasley and her mother: Annie Beasley; two brothers: Walter and Ivan Beasley plus one sister: Doris Newland.
  Survivors include four sisters: Ethel Beasley and Opal Adkins both of Willow Springs, Mildred Spencer of Greenville, Mississippi, and Dorine Kinnaird of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers; Leo Beasley of Garden City, Missouri and Earnest Beasley of Willow Springs plus many nieces, nephews and friends.
Alva Earnest (Peck) Beasley

Alva Earnest (Peck) Beasley, of Willow Springs, son of the late Charles and Annie Moore Beasley, was born Aug. 18, 1927 in Willow Springs, Mo. He died April 5, 2002 at Willow Care Nursing Home in Willow Springs at the age of 74 years 7 months and 18 days.

During his working years, Peck worked in sawmills. Survivors include one sister, Dorene Kenaird of Kansas City, Kan.; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Ivan, Leo, and Walter Beasley; five sisters, Alta Newman, Doris Newman, Mildred Spencer, Ethel Beasley and Opal Adkins; and his father and mother. Graveside services were Tuesday, April 9, 2002 at 2 p.m. at Pleasant View Cemetery with Willow Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. The body will lie in state Monday until 4 p.m.

Charles R. Beasley died Sunday after long illness

  Charles Riley Beasley, 82, died at his home on Star Route, Willow Spirngs, Sunday morning at 9:54 a.m. October 23.
  He had been in ill health for some time.  He was a retired farmer, born February 16, 1879. at Pollock, Mo. the son of the late Riley and Elizabeth Beaslely.
  Survivors include his wife, Margaret; four sons, Charles W., Alva and George I. of Willow Springs and Leo of Kansas City; six daughters, Ethel Beasley, Opal Adkins, Mildred Spencer, all of Willow Springs; Alta Newland of Tulsa., Oklahoma; Dorine Poor of Kansas City, Kansas and Doris A. Newland of Tulsa; several grand and great-grandchildren.
  Funeral services ere held on Wednesday, October 26, at the Pleasant Grove Church with Bro. Ed Mattock officaiating.  Burial was made in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

  Funeral services for Margaret Ann Debo, 82, of Star Route, Willow Springs, wee held Tuesday, May 4, at First Baptist Church in Willow Springs with Ira Daugherty officiating.
  Mrs. Debo died at her home on Saturday, May 1, 1971.
  She is survived by her husband, Don L.; four sons, George Ivan Beasley, Walter Beasley and Alva E. Beasley, all of Willow Springs, and Leo Beasley, Grandview, Mo; six daughters, Ethel Beasley, Opal Adkins and Mildred Spencer, all of Willow Springs, Alta Newland and Doris Newland of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Dorene Kinnaird of Kansas City, Kansas.

  Services were held Monday, June 2nd, at Pleasant Grove Community Church for Charles Walter Beasley, 67, of Star Route, Willow Springs.  Rev. Ira Daughtery officiated at the services.
  Mr. Beasley died May 29, 1980, at St. Francis Hospital in Mountain View.
  He was born May 18, 1913, in Texas County, Missouri, the son fo Charles and Margaret Ann Beasley.
  He is survived by two brother, Virgil Leo Beasley of Garden City, Mo., and Alva Ernest Beasley of Willow Springs, Mo.; five sisters, Ethel Beasley, Opal Adkins and Mrs. Mildred Spencer all of Willow Springs, Mrs. Alta Newland of Tulsa, Okla., and Mrs. Dorene Kinnaird of Kansas City, Kansas.
  Interment was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

   Leo Virgil Beasley, 75, Garden City, died Thursday, Sept 3, at his home.
   He was born Feb. 23, 1923, near Willow Springs, the son of Charles Riley and Margaret Anstess (Moore) Beasley.
   On Feb. 28, 1944, he married Ruby May Owens in Kansas City, Kan.
   Mr. Bealsey was employed as a mechanic for Botsford Ready Mix, Kansas City, until his retirement in 1973.  Earlier he had worked for Kansas City Concrete Co., Kansas City.
   He was a member of the Church of God in Willow Springs.  He was a member of Local Teamsters Union Local #541, Kansas City.
   Mr. Beasley was an Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
   He had lived in Willow Springs before moving to Garden City in 1978.
   Beides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter Beasley and George Ivan Beasley; five sisters, Ethel Beasley, Opal Adkins, Mildred Spencer, Alta Newland and Doris Newland.
   Surviving are his wife, Ruby Beasley of the home; four daughters, Viola McCandless, Odessa, Wilma Dalzell, Shirley Poisal and Margaret Coe, all of Garden City; a brother, Alva Earnest Beasley, Willow Springs; a sister, Dorine Kinnaird, Kansas City, Kan.; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
   Casketbearers were Jeffrey Coe, Jason Coe, Matthew Dalzell, Howard McCandless, Len DAvid Riggs, Virgil Riggs, John Riggs and Shannon Leslie.
   Services were Saturday, Sept. 5, at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, with Pastor Bob Ingle officiating.
  Burial was in Garden City Cemetery under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City.

     Ruby May Beasley of Garden City, Missouri was born May 1, 1925 at Norwood, Missouri the daughter of Benjamin Melton and Arizona (Cartwright) Owens.  She departed this life Wednesday, July 10, 2002 at Research Belton Hospital, Belton, Missouri at the age of 77 years, 2 months and 9 days.
     On February 28, 1944 Ruby was united in marriage to Leo Virgil Beasley in Kansas City, Kansas.
     Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Virgil Beasley on September 3, 1998; five brothers, Jessie, Tommy, Joseph, Robert and Eligah Owens; three sisters, Florence Ratterree, Mary Ruth Akers and Fern Ratterree.
     She is survived by four daughters, Viola McCandless and Husband Richard, Odessa, Missouri, Wilma Dalzell and husband Robert, Shirley Poisal and husband Melvin and Margaret Coe and husband Jerry, all of Garden City, Missouri; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Dies Tuesday Afternoon After Paralytic Stroke

  Mrs. George Waggonre, 80 years of age, died Tuesday afternoon after a short illness.  She died at the home of her granddaugher, Mrs. C. L. Brown, of the Pine Creek Community.  Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon under the direction of Burns & Sons at the Community church near Pine Creek.
  Mrs. Waggoner was born in Sullivan County, where she lived with her parents until the age of 16.  At that time, she was married to George Waggoner.  Later she moved with her mother to Texas County, where she spent the most of her life.
  Mrs. Wagoner, who was better known as "Aunt Drucey," is survied by one son, John, of Texas County; one brother, Chas. Beasley; one half-brother, Lee Waggoner, of Texas county; one sister, Mrs. Rosie Bradley, of Eldorado, Kan., and nine grandchildren.

  Mildred Spencer was born april 8, 1917 in Texas County, Missouri.

Wilson W. Spencer

   Funeral services for Wilson W. Spencer, 56, who died at Bartlett Hospital in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, were held Sunday, January 12, 1969, at 2:00 p.m. at the Tyrone Church near Willow Springs.
   Mr. Spencer died January 8, 1969.  He was a heavy equipment operator and resided at 715 North 10th Street in Sapulpa.
   Survivors are his wife, Norma, of the home; five sons-charles of Sapupla, Okla., Earl of Spearman, Texas, Carol of Kansas City, Mo., Vaughn and Orville Lee of Willow Springs; and one daughter, Miss Vera Spencer of Willow Springs.
