Mrs Anna Thompson, 54, wife of Calvin Thompson of the Pleasant View Community, 4 miles north of West Plains, died suddenly at her home Saturday night at 10 o'clock. Death resulted from a hemmorage.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Alonzo Thompson of the family home, Pfc. Thorney Thompson with the US Armed Forces, overseas; Lawrence Thompson of West Plains and three daughters, Lougena Collins of Caulfield, Mrs Dorothy Driskell and Mrs Laverne Poe of West Plains.One son preceded her in death.
Mrs Thompson was born March 6, 1890, in Cleveland County, Alabama, and came to Howell County 48 years ago with her parents. She had been a member of the Pentecost Church the last seven years.
Funeral services were held this afternoon at Evergreen Church, south of West Plains, with the Rev Walter Mask of West Plains in charge, and burial was in the cemetery there.
The Paige Robertsons of the Robertson Funeral Home were in charge of funeral and burial arrangements.
