Alta Jane Collins, daughter of the late Frank and Nellie Hisaw Russell, was born in Ozark County, Missouri, February 12th, 1901. Entered into eternal rest October 6th, 1977, at the age of seventy-six years.
On December 11th, 1916, she was married in Ozark County, Missouri, to J. Sherman Collins, who survives her, as do four sons, Marvin Collins, Basil Collins, Wendell Collins and J. D. Collins all of West Plains, Missouri. There are ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren surviving, as do one brother and two half-brothers, who are Arlis Russell, Springfield, Missouri, Arthur Fields and Artis Fields, both of West Plains, Missouri.
Preceding Mrs. Collins in death are her parents and two sisters.
Mrs. Collins had been a member of the Church of Christ since young womanhood, and had been attending the West 160 Church of Christ at West Plains, Missouri.
