| taken from funeral card Alice Mindy Yocham, daughter of the late George and Emaline Hannah Collins, was born August 28, 1892 at Birdtown, Missouri. Entered into eternal rest January 25, 1981 at the age of eighty-eight years. She received her education in the rural schools in the Aid Hodgson Mill area, and on August 5, 1911 she was married to James William Yocham, who preceded her in death on February 11, 1955. She had worked as a Licensed Midwife for over thirty years, having received her training in St Louis, Missouri. Mrs Yocham is survived by four children, Mrs Walter (Martha) Weaver, West Plains, Missouri; Mrs Arthur (Mary) Thompson, West Plains, Missouri; Bertie Thompson, Madison, Illinois; Mrs Lee (Emaline) McCrackin, Kansas City, Missouri; twenty-five grandchildren; a large number of great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three daughters, Flossie Walker, Madie Tindell, and Wilma Lee Collins; four sisters, and three brothers. Mrs Yocham had been a member of the Pentecostal Church for a number of years. Services were held on Wednesday, January 28, 1981 at 1:30 pm Interment was at Union Grove Cemetery. |
