Ada P. Collins Funeral Today

  Funeral services for Ada Pearl Collins, 81, Burney, Mo., and a former area resident, were held today at 2 p.m. in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains, with the Rev. Harold Belcher of Burney officiating.
  Mrs. Collins died Saturday at 5:54 a.m. in Lucy Lee Hospital, Poplar Bluff, Mo.  She was born in the state of Nebraska Mar. 7, 1893.
  In 1908 she was married to James W. Baker who preceded her in death.  In 1914 she was married to Henry R. Veech who died in 1943.  On Mar. 20, 1945, she was married to Elijah Collins.  Mrs. Collins has been a member of the Baptist church since early womanhood with her present membership in the Powe Baptist Church at Burney, Mo.
  Preceding her in death are her parents, one son and one daughter.
  Survivors include her husband Elijah Collins; nine children, Floyd Baker, Gridley, Kan.; Lillie Craig, Topeka, Kan.; Carl Veech, Viola, Mo.; Clarence Veech, Kansas City, Mo.; Arthur Veech, Morton, Wash.; Mildred Henry, West Plains; Frances Wingo, Ventura, Calif.; Lucille Shipman, Burney, Mo.; Wayne Veech, Lebanon, Pa.; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
  Interment was in the family plot in Homeland Cemetery under direction of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, West Plains.
