Ab Johnson Dies at 75; Funeral Set for Tomorrow

Ab Johnson, 75, long time resident of West Plains died at 9 o'clock yesterday morning in Ellis Fischel Hospital in Columbia where he was a patient for several days.
He was born in Cullman, Alabama November 11, 1884 to the late John and Electra Reyer Johnson. Mr Johnson came to West Plains with his parents from Alabama when he was 12 years old and he continued to make his home here.
On January 14...... he married Rebecca Cook. She died November 1, 1956.
Surviving are three sons, Harold Johnson, Dexter, Ore, Eldon Johson, Springerville, Ariz, Stanley Johnson, Oak Ridge, Ore, three daughters, Mrs Ed Ellison and Mrs Alfred Morgan, both of West Plains, and Mrs Helen Sullivan, whose whereabouts are unknown, 23 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three sons and two daughters precede him in death. There are three brothers, Hugh Johnson, James Johnson, both of West Plains, and Riley Johnson, Carroll; and three sisters, Mrs John Jones, Mrs Jim Parker, and Mrs Ray Aborn, all of West Plains.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev Frank Hall officiating.
Burial will be beside his wife in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral
