The only way to know if there really is a God is to find out yourself... It means that you have to ask Him. You might feel funny if you have not prayed before, but try it. Just focus for a moment and ask, God do you exist? If you do, please let me know for sure. I want to get to know you. God, it is so hard for me to understand how it can be evil, if you exist. Please, make me understand. You see, wondering girl, if you invite Him in to your life, things will happend. And anyway you have nothing to loose by trying, only to gain:) Is it to easy? Well, it is easy, but even so many are afraid to try. But i can strongly recomand it, i have tryed it myself and i got the answer i wanted, so now you can get yours .
You also asks about the evil. What we have to remember is that we can not blaime God for what humans do. Humans do evil, not God. He created us with our own will, not as robots. So He gave us the possibility to choose between good and evil.
To bad many chooses evil, but one day we all have to pay for our choises.
