�Our help?� I said in surprise.
�How can Merlin be that much of a threat to Windia?� I asked.
�He has gained the power of Horntail, a monster which became the meaning of destruction. Horntail was an all powerful 3-headed dragon god that could wipe out an entire village with one breath of fire. It stood about forty feet tall and could not be stopped by anyone. Until one day the four of us caught Horntail off guard and used a spell soo powerful it killed Horntail, but also in the after shock, the spell split the world into different continents. Merlin must have found shards of one of Horntail�s horns and made some sort of item that he could wear. It seems that he hasn�t found all the pieces of that horn. So his powers are limited and don�t show Horntail�s true powers. If he were to assemble a whole horn it would be like having another Horntail, but one that�s five feet tall with only one head.� Grendel told us.
�Don�t you already have three other guardians besides yourselves?� I asked Grendel.
�Yes, but Merlin has cause soo much damage to the world. Tiger, Suuushi, and Curryishot being the highest level guardians can�t keep up with all the havoc. This is why we need your help.� Grendel replied.
� Plus, we are too old to keep up and we need as much help as we can get.� Athena added in a low voice.
"Why us?" I asked.
"We all see great skill and determination in each and every one of you. You each have your own unique powers and skill. That is why we need to train you according to what kind of skills you possess." Athena replied.
�What about the Darklord? You know the one who always hangs upside down in a ninja suit in Kerning City." asked Apple.
�You can�t tell that he�s old because of that stupid suit he wears all the time. He�s older than Athena.� Grendel replied.
�EW.... never mind then.� Apple said all grossed out.
�What about Dances with Balrog? He�s still young.� Arianz asked.
�He uses steroids that make him look young and buff.� Athena replied.
�Well, then what can we do to help?� Cowz asked Athena.
�You will each do as you are instructed. Go back to your hometowns and speak with your town�s guardian. We will all try to teach you as much as we know for the next five years.� Athena replied.
�Five years?! We won�t be able to see each other for five years?!� I shouted.
�We need the amount of time to teach you all you need to know to increase your strength so you will be able to fend off the monsters Merlin sends to attack you. Maybe sooner or later you will be able to directly attack Merlin and destroy him.� Athena replied in a determined voice.
�I understand." I replied in a sad voice.
It was for the sake of Windia. It would help save more helpless souls and had to be done. Although none of us really wanted to separate for five years. We�ve all been together for awhile now, so it was a pretty hard decision for us. We all knew it had to be done and said our goodbyes and went our separate ways.
