As you leave us far behind you
and get a brand new start,
A trail of tears will follow
along with all our hearts...
you knew how to make us smile
when we were feeling down
we always felt safer
when you were around...
we were Daddy's little angels
and could do no wrong
you knew how to make us laugh
with your silly little songs...
But knowing your in heaven now
and out of all the pain
makes us all feel better
but we'll still miss you just the same..
I wish things were different
and you had'nt gone away
I wish I had my daddy back
For there was so much I wanted to say..
I wanted you to know
that even though we were miles apart
I kept you in my thoughts
and deep with in my heart..
you remained in my thoughts
and in my prayers
and will for ever more
for years and years...
I wanted to see you
before you went away
I wanted to tell you
that everything was going to be okay
that you were going
to a far better place
where theres love all around
and full of grace..
where the sun is always shining
and there is no Hate..
well your finially home
and with family above
and some day dad
the rest of us will come..
we will all re-unite once again
and be a family
from there on in...
we will laugh and play,
dance and sing
we will have a lot of fun
and not worry about a thing..
Until that times comes
just remember this
