Cyrus born Aug. 9, 1848. Died Oct. 12, 1930.
Matilda born Jan. 22, 1857. Died Feb. 2, 1935.

Both Cyrus and Matilda are buried in Red Bank
Cemetery, Waynesville, NC.

It was told by his grandchildren that Cyrus loved to sing. The words to one of the songs he sang, has been furnished by granddaught, Mirl Baxter Haun.

Mirl's mother, Margaret Ann Hembree Baxter used to sing it to her and told her that her Pap (Cyrus) sang it to her when she was a little girl
