Text Box: Lexicon

To become and play and effective vampire it is necessary to learn a different vocabulary. Within the game or within Kindred and vampire society there are many new words with some that have no equivalent elsewhere- and as such demand there own unique turn of phrase. Below I have gathered the terms from the many books and have organized them by Sect and by the unique usage of the word. I have also combined both Sabbat and Camarilla terms, but kept the three basic categories:

To prevent a misunderstanding please use the following category markers:

	Camarilla Terminology (Common)
	Ancient Terminology (Old Term)
	New Terminology (Vulgar Argot)
s.	Sabbat Terminology (Common)
c/s	Terminology shared by both Camarilla and Sabbat (Common)

The markers will be in front of the definitions, in small case, bold, italic letters.

For Example:

	Court, positions and terminology:

	c.	Court: The gathering of a city of vampires, usually called by the Prince of that city

	s.	Shovelhead: A typical term used to describe new members of the sect

c.	Elysium: The location used to hold court; it is free from hostility and the use of disciplines

These expressions also tend to be some of the more common terms used exclusively by the creatures of darkness to explain and define their nightly existence. Not every vampire knows or uses all of these terms; many refusing to adopt a vampiric vocabulary for a more human terminology. However, the language listed below should be used to help you define the experiences of game play and understand vampires themselves.
