| Spelling and Homework |
| Spelling homework is given nightly. Weekly spelling units are given out on Monday. Students will cut out their words and paste them in their spelling notebooks. Spelling homework will be the same weekly. Students will also be responsible for the vocabulary words given at the beginning of the week for the reading test on Friday. Monday night: Write the spelling word three times each. Tuesday night: Put spelling words in ABC order. Wednesday night: Telling sentences #1-8. Thursday night: Asking sentences #9-15 Friday is the spelling test in class. Note: Please make sure each night is done on a separate page in their notebook. Students are responsible for completing four nights of homework per week even if there is a day off of school that week. There will be other assignments given in addition to spelling. It is the students responsibility to copy homework everyday in their agenda. |

| Spelling Bees Stickers are earned each week by the students on spelling tests if: All words are spelled correctly (as the list shows) The three sentences on the back of the test are grammatically correct and properly punctuated. |
