Levy
Rhame Tindal,
the son of Martha Mary Rhame and Henry Fox Tindall, was born in Sumter
District, South Carolina, on December 23,
1843. In 1868, Levy married (first)
Eliza Mary Brock, the daughter of Ann E.
Harvin and John Oliver Brock. Eliza
was born in Sumter District, South
Carolina, on August 28, 1849. During the
Civil War, Levy served as a soldier.
Eliza died on March 3, 1880.
On
August 15, 1881, Levy married (second)
Julia Ann Connors, the daughter of
Temperance Tindal and Mathew H. Connors.
Julia was born on September 21, 1845.
Levy died on October 19, 1921, and Julia
died on December 27, 1929.
Levy,
Eliza and Julia are buried in the
cemetery at Calvery Baptist Church where
Levy had served as a Deacon and Sunday
School Superintendent.

Dr. Edward Francis Tindal was born on May
27, 1869.
2.
Rosa Tindal was born on December 15, 1870,
and died on July 4, 1908. She
married William Summerall.
3.
Lou Ann Tindal was born on June 24, 1872,
and died on January 30, 1966. She
married John Ferguson.
4.
Willie Fox Tindal was born on February 21,
1874, and died on August 2, 1956.
He did not marry.
5.
Eleanor Tindal was born during July 1875
and died about 1881. She was buried
in the cemetery at Calvery Baptist Church.
6.
Levy Rhame Tindal, Jr. was born in
Clarendon County, South Carolina, on
December 1, 1878, and died on December 23,
1952. On June 16, 1909, Levy
married Lillie L. Knight. Levy was
buried in Lincoln Cemetery, Washington,
DC.
7.
Elizabeth Tindal was born on September 13,
1877, and died on January 8, 1964.
She married the Rev. John T. Young.
Issue from second marriage:
1.
Mable Tindal was born on May 21, 1882,
and died on June 3, 1961. Mable
never married. She was buried in
the cemetery at Calvery Baptist Church.
2.
Minnie Tindal was born on January 10,
1884. On July 20, 1919, she married
Dr. William H. Carrigan.
3.
Virginia Tindal died when she was 4
months old. She was buried in the
cemetery at Calvery Baptist Church.
4.
Henry Connors Tindal died when he was 9
months old. He was buried in the
cemetery at Calvery Baptist Church.
5.
Bessie Tindal died when she was 7 years
old. She was buried in the cemetery
at Calvery Baptist Church.
6.
Dorothy Tindal was born on July 11, 1890,
and died on April 2, 1966. On
August 19, 1908, she married Carswell
Everett (1887-1944). They were
buried in the cemetery at Calvery Baptist
Church.
