William Monroe Dooley's Obituary in th Hartington Herald: Died at his home, 12&1/2 miles Southwest of town, Friday, March 24, 1911 W.M. Dooley, aged 63 years. The cause of his death was cancer of the stomach from which he had been a sufferer for a long time and for which he underwent an operation in Sioux City about two weeks ago. The funeral was held from the house Sunday morning at 10 O' clock, Rev. Dickey Officiating, and Interment was made in Hartington Cemetery. The Dooley Family used to live in this county, but moved to Kansas a few years ago with a view to benefiting Mr. Dooley's health and had only just returned. W. M. DOOLEY IS BURIED MONDAY Dies in Columbus---Laid to Rest Beside Son who was Buried in August Mrs. Mary E. Dooley, 81 years, eight months and 13 days, who made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Vina Sperry, 10 miles nothwest of Columbus in Bismark Township, died last Friday at 11:15 pm at the home following a long Illness. She had been an invalid for the last four years, Following a stroke of apoplexy. She was one who feared not hardships and spread sunshine and comfort to her neighbors and those in need. She was always ready to lend a helping hand in suffering or distress. She was a faithful wife all loving mother and a strue neighbor. Miss Mary E. Graham was born January 17, 1858 in clearfield County, Pennsylvania, She was the daughter of John and Amelia Graham. When about four years of age, she moved with her parents to Powesheik County, Iowa, shere at the age of 14 years, she was united with the Christian Church and was babtised in Richland Creek Near Brooklyn Iowa. Her Marriage to William M. Dooley took place at toledo, Iowa on July 23 1875. They lived in Iowa and later in Kansas for many years. They moved to Nebraska, Loacating in Knox County, near Hartington, 34 years ago, wher Mr. Dooley died March 24, 1911. They moved to the farm Northeast of Columbus two years ago. Following children and relatives are left to mourn her death: Four sons, john E. of Blue Rapids, Kansas; Morrel M. and Alvie D. fo Casper, Wyoming and Wesley M. of Niobrara; and four daughters, Mrs. Viena Sperry of Columbus; Mrs. Cora Hendrickson, of Wausa; Mrs. Katie Parks fo Niobrara amd mrs. Viola Wheeler, of Blue Rapids, Kansas; twenty-seven grandchildren and twentyone great grandchildren, besides hosts of other relatives and friends.
